In every city, in every country, across every region – everywhere you could find buildings thousands of people daily pass by, millions of eyes look at.

But, nevertheless, their image does not remain in your memory, you fail to recall their characteristic features or details. This is just a gray monument, one more element of urban environment.

And listening to someone's description or looking at a picture where this painfully familiar building is captured from a different angle, you suddenly find yourself lost with reset orientation, feeling that some parts in this puzzle are missing.

Isolated from the environment, free-floating in the ocean, this kind of buildings bear only a part of the information, only a fragment of their recognizable image. They lose their functionality, design, materials, time and place of construction.

They are like icebergs which have different shapes and structure depending on their origin. My aim was to convey such an image of concrete city-ocean blocks that change with the flow of powerful currents.

Many of these buildings no longer exist, like blocks of ice, which dissolve, merge with a cognate substance, leaving barely noticeable traces within the urban landscape.

Whereas the look of others might have changed beyond recognition, replacing its face with the arrival of every new owner, the same way "black" iceberg recently overturned in the water displays the other 80% of its body.

But, nevertheless, their image does not remain in your memory, you fail to recall their characteristic features or details. This is just a gray monument, one more element of urban environment.
