My name is Victor, and I see the world through a lens shaped by two homes and a career spanning continents. While earning my degree in design and engineering in my hometown of Minsk, Belarus, I honed my photography skills through countless educational courses and workshops, along with thousands of rolls of film (yes, I'm that old, lol). I’ve always been fascinated not just by capturing a portrait, a scenic view, or a moment, but by recognizing how we are shaped by the spaces we inhabit—that intersection where the person and their environment become one.
Before finally making Chicago my home around 2017, I spent years developing my "eye" under pressure. I worked in high-volume studios on international cruise ships and spent four years as a staff photojournalist for Komsomolskaya Pravda, the largest daily newspaper in Belarus. Those years covering news and politics, combined with extensive travel across Europe, gave me a unique multicultural perspective. I learned how to stand out in a crowd while remaining invisible enough to capture truly significant, unscripted moments.
Since moving to the States, I’ve reestablished my career as an independent photographer for corporate clients like The North Face, HMD Trucjuing, Hisdale Publishin Group, while keeping my finger on the pulse of the city through my editorial and photojournalism work for local and national media outlets, including The Chicago Sun-Times, Block Club Chicago, EPA, The Financial Times, Esquire, and The Telegraph.
Today, you’ll most often find me in my "home away from home," Rogers Park, or out on the streets of Chicago, documenting the stories that define us. Whether it’s an editorial assignment or a lifestyle shoot, I’m here to help you tell your story—with authenticity, depth, and a bit of a global edge.
