about & contacts

Portrait by Julia Grishan, 2009.

Was born in 1985 in Minsk and formally educated in foundry manufacture as an engineer-designer (BA from National Technical University). Around that time started to study photography, was taking part in numerous educational programs, lectures and workshops. Then changed a field and place, and worked for 3 years in the USA as photographer on cruise ships. Since 2013 was working as full time photojournalist in the biggest daily newspaper in Belarus “Komsomolskaya Pravda” and as freelancer for other media and agencies in Belarus.
In 2017 moved to Chicago, USA where continues to work on personal projects and as a freelancer. Covering elections, general news, sports, conflicts and day to day work as a journalist has left me with an interesting collection of experiences. These background, combined with technical knowledge and equipment, allow him to work and report in nearly every situation around the world.
